Unfair trade

Matthew 25: 29. "For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them."

As a child, this verse really bothered me.  Probably because its natural application was to cake:

For whoever has cake will be given more cake, and they will have an abundance of cake. Whoever does not have cake, even what cake they have will be taken from them.

My mother was right.  Life isn't fair.  I know that because, as an adult, I still experience that inherent unfairness on a daily basis.

For whoever orders a chocolatey drink will be given a chocolate fish, and some marshmallows, and they will have an abundance of chocolate and sugar.  Whoever does not order a chocolatey drink, even what chocolate they have will be taken from them.
